About

Hi, I'm Alex.

I specialize in working with individuals 18+ that struggling with anxiety and depression. Clients I work with struggle with various types of anxiety that could look like worrying about various things in their life from relationships, work, school, or their future. They struggle with non-stop thoughts that prevent them from concentrating, relaxing, connecting with others, and difficulty with sleep. Other’s may experience feeling judged in social situations or feeling as if they are performing in front others which makes it difficult for them to not feeling anxious, or analyze how they acted, what they said, or what others may think about them. There may be physical feelings that get in the way of doing things because they worry about panicking in front of others or worry that the physical feelings will feel out of control or feel like they are dying. All of this can get in the way of living a fulfilling life and accomplishing life goals, whether that is finding a romantic partner, creating a strong support system of friends, or personal aspirations. This can lead to feelings of loneliness and sadness, and decreased motivation. In our work together, I offer a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can explore your emotions, develop a deeper understanding of your thoughts, and become more comfortable with discomfort. We’ll identify unhelpful thinking patterns that keep you feeling stuck, and work on strategies to move forward. Many of my clients appear to have it all together on the outside, but internally they are carrying the weight of these struggles in silence. My goal is to help you build resilience, regain control, and feel empowered in your journey. I’m a licensed marriage and family therapist with over 14 years of experience in the field; 8 of which were working with college students. I earned my Master’s degree from Alliant International University. I’ve completed trainings for anxiety, depression, and insomnia through the Beck Institute for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and trainings for neuroscience for anxiety and depression through PESI. I value my ability to create a calm, safe space for growth and change and I look forward to connecting with you. Call, email, or click request appointment to schedule either a free 15-minute consultation or book a 50-min session.
